The Bible

This teaching takes us on a foundational journey through the entire biblical narrative, reminding us why we need an objective standard for spiritual truth. We've all heard stories of people claiming divine experiences—some leading to beautiful outcomes, others to tragedy. The sobering reality is that spiritual experiences alone aren't enough; we need a measuring rod, a canon, to test what's truly from God. The Bible provides exactly that: 66 books written over 1,500 years by dozens of authors, yet telling one unified story. At the heart of this story are two pivotal promises—God's covenant with Abraham to bless all nations through his descendants, and His promise to David of an eternal kingdom. These aren't just ancient historical footnotes; they're the threads that weave through every page of Scripture, pointing us toward the ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ. The message challenges us to recognize that Christianity is deeply rooted in Jewish history and covenant—every author except Luke was Jewish, and Jesus Himself was Jewish. This isn't incidental; it's essential to understanding God's redemptive plan. For those of us navigating a world of competing spiritual claims and subjective experiences, this overview offers something solid to stand on: a story that's been unfolding for millennia, centered on God's relentless pursuit of humanity through a promised King who would bring blessing, justice, and eternal peace.
