Chris Eshleman

Senior Pastor

Pastor Chris’ passion is relating the wisdom and truth of the ancient text of the Bible to our own times. You’ll often see him playing bass for the worship team before preaching. Off the pulpit, he enjoys umpiring baseball games and spending time with his wife, Chrissy, their six children and fifteen grandchildren. Pastor Chris is a graduate of Clarks Summit University (BS) and Biblical Theological Seminary (MA). Attenders of Mountain View are thankful and blessed to be able to call him our Senior Pastor since September 1982.

Chris Hamilton

Pastor of Congregational Life

Chris is passionate about seeing people of all ages grow in their knowledge of God and living out His call in their lives. He and his wife Melissa have two kids- Josiah and Clara. Chris is an avid Philadelphia sports fan, enjoys being outdoors, loves iced coffee, and playing games with friends and family.

Steve Karabatos

Youth Pastor

Steve Karabatos, aka Mr. K, has been the Youth Pastor at Mountain View Chapel since he was hired straight out of the congregation in 1999. Immigrating from Greece when he was 27 months old, Mr. K taught himself to speak, read, and write English by watching Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, and The Electric Company. As a result, Mr. K’s first language is Greek, and he uses that to his benefit as he prepares his Bible messages and often refers to the Greek Scriptures in his sermon preparation. It’s all Greek to him…

Mr. K grew up in the Greek Orthodox Church before leaving that church to start attending Mountain View at the end of 1993. Sometime in early to mid-1995, Mr. K turned his life over to Jesus Christ. He was baptized in 1997 and was selected as a deacon in 1998 before giving up that position to take over as Youth Pastor on August 29, 1999. That seems like a century ago…

Mr. K is a 1988 graduate of Boyertown Area Senior High School and a 1993 graduate of Kutztown University with a degree in Secondary English Education. Mr. K met his wife Becky, aka Mrs. K, on December 17, 1988 and they were married on August 22, 1993 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. His life is chronicled in a documentary called My Big Fat Greek Wedding…

Prior to becoming a Youth Pastor, Mr. K owned and operated a limousine company for seven years and during that time he also co-hosted a weekly NASCAR television program on PCTV for three years. For the record, he never raced any of his limousines on the NASCAR circuit, though he did work on a pit crew once…

Mr. and Mrs. K have three children and twelve grandchildren, plus another unofficially adopted child and an additional two grandkids, and roughly 1500 unofficially adopted teenagers who have come through their ministry over the last 23 years or so. Mr. K thinks the biggest change he has seen over the course of his youth ministry is that they build kids a lot faster than they used to…

Mr. K enjoys road cycling, collecting vintage sports cards, wearing witty t-shirts, quoting The Simpsons, spending time in his mid-century decorated office or living room, and attending events involving his grandkids and teens in his ministry. He especially enjoys talking about Jesus and of all the topics he covers, he loves teaching evidential apologetics the best. He feels blessed to earn a living doing something he loves to do and plans to keep at it until God makes it clear to him it is time to move on.

Josh Moyer

Worship Leader

Josh accepted Christ at a very young age and has been growing in him ever since. Josh and his wife, Michele, have 2 boys: Zion and Titus. Josh and Michele have been playing and enjoying music together for over 10 years. His musical journey started in grade school choir. He took piano, vocal, and music theory lessons for about 4 years before focusing solely on guitar. His favorite genres of music are Lo-fi Hip-Hop, Metalcore, and acoustic folk music. He works for a local electric utility performing disconnections of delinquent customer accounts. In addition to music, in his free time he enjoys fine dining, mountain biking, beach trips and spending time in God’s beautiful creation with his family.
