Pathfinders

Find Your Path

Pathfinders is a natural progression for young people in their walk with Jesus Christ. Meeting from 7 PM to 8:30 PM most Monday nights in Mr. K’s office, the Pathfinders choose a topic with a timely relevance and explore it together through the lens of Scripture. More than a Bible study, Pathfinders seeks to add direction and application in a culture that is growing increasingly hostile to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

On the third Tuesday of every month, Pathfinders goes on the road to Hope Community Church in Gilbertsville, PA where Mr. K and his friend of nearly 40 years, Pastor Dave Shalaway facilitate Worldview Monthly, a night when we try to make sense of what is being reported in the newspapers by looking at what God has to say in His Word. Four generations of people are present and learn from each other and with each other. At the end of each Worldview Monthly, the Pathfinders head to Dairy Queen to debrief about the evening’s topics.

In addition to discussing the topics of the evening, the Pathfinders spend a good deal of the evening praying with and for each other’s needs and burdens. And although the evening officially ends at 8:30 PM, it is not unusual to see young people staying several hours later than that discussing the topic of the evening or an entirely different topic, or both.
