Welcome to Mountain View Chapel
Mountain View Chapel is an independent evangelical Protestant church,
founded in 1955, and located at 68 Old Douglass Drive, Douglassville,
PA 19518.
Our congregation of around 400 meets on Sunday morning at 10:00am for worship and children's Sunday school. On Sunday evening, our Junior & Senior High teens get together for spiritual strengthening at 6:00pm. Nursery is provided at all services.
▪ Winter Care - MVC provides care for those who need extra help in the winter due to bad weather. We have a sheet in the lobby where you can sign up to shovel snow or to check on others to see if they have heat, electricity, need to get to an appointment, or need food during a storm. We would also like to have a backup person in case someone scheduled can’t make it. Any questions, please contact the church office.
▪ ARMY CARE PACKAGE - Nick Peroni, son of Dan and Sherry Peroni, is stationed in Iraq until September 2009. (Nick will hopefully be home on furlough in February 2009.) We would like to send him a care package and will be collecting items in the duffle bag in the lobby until NEXT SUNDAY. There is a recommended list of items in the bulletin. Please no bulk items over 2 lbs. if at all possible.
▪ As we head into the Christmas season, we like to reach out to those organizations who help others in need. This year we will be collecting toys for the Mercy Community Crisis Pregnancy Center and filling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. The deadline to bring your toys and shoe boxes is NEXT SUNDAY.
▪ We are still looking for volunteers to meet at the Salvation Army in Pottstown to prepare a meal, serve, and clean up on the fifth Wednesday of the month (3-4 times a year.) If you are interested, or if you have any questions, please contact Debbie Levesque.
In Pastor Chris' sermon on November 9th, he mentioned this link to the Arabic newspaper Al Jazeera. Click on the link and go to the end of the article and read the many responses from around the world to get a taste of "looking through different windows" as mentioned in the sermon.
