▪ Start off your celebration of the Lord’s birth by joining us in the Sanctuary for our Christmas Candlelight Service
at 7PM on December 22nd. Child care will be provided in the Nursery during the service for newborns on up to 2 years old. There will be no service held on Christmas Eve this year.
▪ Thank you to everyone who gave to the Special Benevolence Fund
offering taken last Sunday. We collected over $3000.00 which will be sent to Samaritan’s Purse to be disbursed to the people of the Philippines as they recover from the damages of Typhoon Haiyan.
▪ There will be no Children’s Church
on December 22nd because of special Christmas music being performed during the Morning Service. Children will be dismissed to Sunday School right before Pastor Chris’ sermon.
▪ The number of Operation Christmas Child
shoe boxes that were taken to the collection center was 118, a new record for MVC! Thank you to everyone who filled a shoe box and especially to Steve and Connie Young who once again provided the free shoe boxes and did a wonderful job heading up this ministry for us.
▪ The Large Ensemble
is getting together to prepare special music for the Holidays! Teens and adults are welcome to join the Ensemble when they practice in the Sanctuary on Sundays. If you have any questions, please contact Neal Hartranft or the church office. The Ensemble practices at 4:45PM today.
▪ MVC Covenant Members
– This year, members can pick up their 2014 Deacon Ballots on the Lobby table instead of receiving them in the mail. Your Deacon Ballot will be in an envelope with your name on it. THERE ARE STILL MANY BALLOTS THAT HAVE NOT YET BEEN PICKED UP.
If you are a member and did not see an envelope with your name, please contact the church office. Deacon Ballots can be put into the offering plates each Sunday or given to an Elder or Deacon. The last day for collecting the ballots is December 22nd.

Those people who don't have envelopes are welcome to sign up to receive 2014 envelopes. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
▪ Christmas Cards
~ There is a box on the Lobby table labeled MVC Mailbox where you can put your Christmas cards for people at the Chapel. Simply drop your cards into the MVC Mailbox and your cards will be sorted into the manila folders for you. If you attend the Chapel and don’t see a manila folder with your name on it, please contact the Chapel office at 610-326-5856 or
