Welcome to Mountain View Chapel
Mountain View Chapel is an independent evangelical Protestant church,
founded in 1955, and located at 68 Old Douglass Drive, Douglassville,
PA 19518.
Our congregation of around 400 meets on Sunday morning at 10:00am for worship and children's Sunday school. On Sunday evening, our Junior & Senior High teens get together for spiritual strengthening at 6:00pm. Nursery is provided at all services.
▪ Annual Church Picnic...next Sunday is the last day to sign up to join us on July 12th, at 12:30PM as we enjoy games, food, and fellowship.
The menu is already set so everyone is asked to sign up to bring an item in the quantity specified along with serving utensils AND a one gallon beverage to share. MVC will provide the hot dogs, condiments, and paper products, as well as chips and pretzels.
For those of you who have never joined us for this event, keep in mind that there is a pavilion with picnic tables, but you will want to bring lawn chairs or a blanket because there is not enough seating area for everyone. We hope to have a short time of games for children 4 years of age through 4th grade. There will be volleyball and horseshoes for the adults. There is a creek that children often enjoy exploring so you may want to bring a bathing suit, towel, pool shoes or old sneakers, and sunscreen. In addition, everyone is welcome to bring board games, cards, Frisbees, croquet or other family favorites.

▪ Everyone who donated items for DVBS may pick them up in the gym after the morning service. Thank you so much for helping us out!
▪ Anyone who would like to be baptized this summer, please contact the church office. We will be having a baptism in the creek during the Church Picnic at Ironstone Park on July 12th and a baptism in the swimming pool at the Hiltebeitel’s home during Peachfest on August 9th.
▪ We would like to update the information in the Mountain View Chapel Directory during the summer. A yellow copy of the directory will be on the table in the lobby where you can make any changes that are necessary. Listing your email address is optional. We will be providing an updated directory for the congregation in September.
▪ Pathfinders has started “Pool Tour” which will continue on into August. They will meet at the homes of various people who own swimming pools. Anyone with a swimming pool who would like to offer their pool (or home if it rains) on a Tuesday night this summer, should see Steve Karabatos for a list of available dates.
▪ MVC Amplified has an evening of music with the band, a short devotional, and great fellowship every other Sunday at 6PM in the Sanctuary. Amplified is for all young adults in their 20s and 30s, single or married. Child care is provided. If you have any questions, contact Matt Yorgey.
