On behalf of our entire church family, I welcome you to the Mountain View Chapel website! Here at Mountain View Chapel we acknowledge that the Bible is the Word of the living God to man, and the ministries of Mountain View Chapel are committed to presenting the message of the Bible that we might better know God and live our lives in ways that reflect and please Him.

The purpose of Mountain View Chapel is to foster the worship of God, to edify believers through the teaching of God's Word and fellowship, and to make known the gospel of God's saving grace through Jesus Christ. Continue Reading...

Sunday Bulletin for April 13, 2014

▪ There will be a Good Friday Communion Service here at the Chapel this Friday at 7PM.  Child care will be provided in the Nursery and also for the two and three year olds.

Because of the Easter Holiday, there will be no Awana this week and no Youth Group this Sunday, April 20th.

▪ If you would like to get to know more folks at the Chapel, then Supper Club might be for you!  The clubs run from May through July and meet once a month for dinner at people’s homes.  If you would like to attend the next rotation of Supper Club, please sign up at the table in the Lobby during the month of April.  For more information, contact Annie Mehl.

▪ If you would like to help with VBS this summer, there are two sign-up sheets on the Lobby table…one for Pre-K to 2nd Grade and one for 3rd to 6th Grade.  Please sign up under the category where you would like to help, along with your contact information.  We ask that only adults and college-age volunteers sign up in the Lobby.  Teens will be asked to sign up to participate in VBS during Youth Group.

Lifetouch will be coming to the Chapel to take pictures for our new pictorial directory this summer on June 5th, 6th, and 7th.  We will be reaching out in the next weeks for volunteers to help with portrait registration and for hosting when Lifetouch is here at the Chapel.

MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) Ministry is looking for someone to head up MOPS for the new year starting in September.  MOPS meets once a month at the Chapel and also plans special events during the year.  This is a great way for moms to get together for a few hours in the morning while their children are being cared for by our MOPPETS ministry.  If you are interested and are a member of MVC, please contact the church office at 610-326-5856 or send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. ▪ It’s time to start spring cleaning and donating your unwanted items to the Youth Group Yard Sale which will be held on May 23rd and May 24th.  Please contact Steve K. if you have any questions.

▪ If anyone would be interested in hosting an intercity child through the Fresh Air Fund for a week this July 14th-21st, please contact Jen Rhoads.  Brochures containing additional information about the Fresh Air Fund are on the Lobby table.

▪ We are in need of Sunday School Teachers and Helpers in our Sunday School Departments.  Teachers are responsible to teach four times a year for a month at a time and helpers are needed to assist Teachers during the class time.  If you are interested in being involved in our Sunday School ministry or you would like to observe a class before deciding, please contact Jack Yorgey.
▪ If you are interested in working in the Nursery on Sunday mornings taking care of newborns and children on up to two years old, please sign up at the table in the Lobby.  If you have any questions, please contact our Nursery Coordinator, Dora Miller.  Children must be 12 years old to help in the Nursery.

▪ MVC's Awana Program is held every Wednesday at 7PM and meets in the Gym!  The different age groups are Puggles (2 & 3 year olds), Cubbies (4 year olds through Pre-Kindergarten), Sparks (Kindergarten through 2nd Grade), T & T (3rd Grade through 6th Grade), and Trek (7th through 9th Grade).  If you have any questions about Awana, please see Bruce and Michele Fries or Dennis and Tina Carroll.

▪ Mountain View Chapel has partnered with SimpleGive to create the opportunity for online donations from our MVC website.  Please go to our website at mountainviewchapel.com and click on the “Give Online” button.  You may also pick up a FAQ sheet at the table in the Lobby about online giving. If you have any other questions, please contact the church office at 610-326-5856.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) - If you are the mother of a child between the ages of birth thru Kindergarten, MOPS would love to have you join them.  MOPS meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 9-11:15AM.  Join them for a time of learning, encouragement, fun, and friendship.  Childcare is provided by the MOPPETS ministry.  For more information, please contact Olivia Butz at This email address is being protected from spambots. ▪ The MOPS group is in need of Moppet Helpers to care for children ranging from infants to Pre-Kindergarten while the mothers have their meeting.
