▪ MVC provides care for those people in our congregation who need help in the winter due to stormy weather. We need volunteers to help shovel snow and also volunteers to check on others during a winter storm to see if they have heat & electricity, need food, or need to get to an appointment. Please sign up at the table in the lobby if you can help in this Winter Care ministry.

▪ A BIG thank you to all of you who so generously donated money and baked goods to the College Care Packages and also to those who helped to pack them up!  A special thank you to Amy Swavely for all of her hard work heading up this ministry to our college students!

Operation Christmas Child is a ministry that we start every Fall when we ask the Chapel family to fill shoe boxes with gifts to give to needy children in poor countries. Please see our display at the table in the Lobby for more information and where you can pick up a brochure on how to pack your shoe box . We are also offering free shoe boxes this year for you to fill up with gifts! There is now a bin under the display table in the Lobby where you may put your filled shoe boxes. The last day to bring your filled shoe boxes will be November 18th.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meet the third Wednesday of every month from 9-11:15AM here at the Chapel. If you are the mother of a child between the ages of birth and Kindergarten, they would love to have you join them!  There are some MOPS flyers on the table in the Lobby with more information.

The MOPS group is in need of Moppet Helpers to care for children ranging from infants thru Kindergarten while the mothers have their meeting. Meetings are held at the Chapel from September to May. They meet once a month every 3rd Wednesday morning from 9-11:15AM. If you can help out with the children in ANY or ALL meetings, your time would be greatly appreciated. Contact Kim Keim if you are interested in helping with this ministry.

If you have any old cell phones at home that you don’t need anymore, we are collecting them in a box on the Lobby table. The cell phones will be sent to a cell phone collection company who will then reimburse us. Those monies will be put into our Benevolence Fund which is used to minister to others when needs arise throughout the year.

MVC Volleyball meets in the Gym the first Friday of the month at 7PM and is open to everyone 16 years and older. Come join them in some “semi-competitive” games!     

Children’s Church is for children 4 years old through 4th grade. Children should sit in the Sanctuary with their parents until they are dismissed to go to Children's Church after the Offertory. 5th-7th Graders should leave the Sanctuary at 10:35 to meet their teacher in the Gym for Sunday School.

Children’s Church is for children 4 years old through 4th grade. Children should sit in the Sanctuary with their parents until they are dismissed to go to Children's Church after the Offertory. 5th-7th Graders should leave the Sanctuary at 10:35 to meet their teacher in the Gym for Sunday School.

HARVEST PICNIC - OCTOBER 5TH at 6PM in the Chapel Parking Lot. (Rain date is October 6th) Next Sunday is the last day to sign up to attend our picnic. If we need to move the Harvest Picnic to the next day (Saturday) because of bad weather, we will let you know by next Thursday evening. We will notify you by Facebook, the MVC website, the Prayer Chain and leave a recorded message on the office phone.

▪ We will be taking our Benevolence Fund Offering next Sunday which is used to minister to others when needs arise        throughout the year. If you have offering envelopes, please use the envelope with Benevolence Fund written on it.

▪ The Chapel is going to have a “ring toss” stand at Community Days at the Douglass Township Building next Saturday from 10-2pm. We have four people to run it, but we could use about four more people. If you can help out, please contact Pastor Chris or the church office. 

▪ MVC provides Winter Care for those people in our congregation who need help in the winter due to stormy weather. Operation Christmas Child is a ministry that we start every Fall when we ask the Chapel family to fill shoe boxes with gifts to give to needy children in poor countries. Please see our display at the table in the Lobby for more information and where you can pick up a brochure on how to pack your shoe box . We are also offering free shoe boxes this year for you to fill up with gifts!

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meet the third Wednesday of every month from 9-11:15AM here at the Chapel. If you are the mother of a child between the ages of birth and Kindergarten, they would love to have you join them!  There are some MOPS flyers on the table in the Lobby with more information.

The MOPS group is in need of Moppet Helpers to care for children ranging from infants thru Kindergarten while the mothers have their meeting. Meetings are held at the Chapel from September to May. They meet once a month every 3rd Wednesday morning from 9-11:15AM. If you can help out with the children in ANY or ALL meetings, your time would be greatly appreciated. MVC's Awana Program is held every Wednesday at 7PM!  If you would like your children to be involved in this exciting                program, bring them to the Gym on Wednesday evenings! If you have any old cell phones at home that you don’t need anymore, we are collecting them in a box on the Lobby table. The cell phones will be sent to a cell phone collection company who will then reimburse us. Those monies will be put into our Benevolence Fund which is used to minister to others when needs arise throughout the year.

▪ Christmas in September - Every December, the Boyertown Senior Center on Spring Street in Boyertown presents “A Cavalcade  of Trees”.  Different organizations buy trees that they decorate for the Cavalcade of Trees. The trees are then given away to needy families at Christmas. This is the third year that Mel will be ordering a tree which, in the past, has been purchased by 2 or 3 people. This year they are collecting money early, which costs $150 for a 7 foot tree with lights. There is a box marked “Cavalcade” on the small table in the Lobby where you can donate to this great ministry. If you have any questions, please see Mel Zohe.

▪ Come visit the Mountain View Chapel Library in the Classic Building for some great reading!  Books, audio books, DVDs, and videos can all be signed out for a month at a time. Donna Wismer is in the Library after the Sunday Morning service and on Wednesday evening from 3-6PM.

▪ Don’t forget to check the LOST AND FOUND shelves that are along the wall between the bathrooms. Any items not claimed after eight weeks will be discarded or donated to the MVC Youth Group for their annual Yard Sale.

Offertory Ministry - If you like to sing or if you play a musical instrument, we would love to have you be a part of our Offertory Ministry on Sunday mornings.  All ages and level of musical ability can serve in this capacity.  If you are interested, please contact Neal Hartranft or Janine Leavitt.

  MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) are kicking off their ninth year starting September 19th!  MOPS meet the third Wednesday of every month from 9-11:15AM here at the Chapel.  If you are the mother of a child between the ages of birth and Kindergarten, they would love to have you join them!  More information soon!

  A big thanks to everyone who participated in the Car Wash Fundraiser for Megan Leavitt's RSD treatment. In addition to tickets sales, contributions totaled over $3,450!  Please remember to keep Megan in your prayers.

If you have any old cell phones at home that you don’t need anymore, we are collecting them in a box on the Lobby table. The cell phones will be sent to a cell phone collection company who will then reimburse us. Those monies will be put into our Benevolence Fund which is used to minister to others when needs arise throughout the year.  

We will announce any cancellations of Sunday services or other activities on the home page of our website (mountainviewchapel.com), on our Facebook page (Mountain View Chapel), and on Channel 69 News. We will also send the cancellation notice out on the Prayer Chain and record a cancellation message on the church office phone (610-326-5856).

The Chapel has a support group for people with Life-Altering Illnesses and their Caretakers which meets on the first and third Thursday of each month. They will meet on September 6th at 2PM and 7PM in the Library. If you would like more information, please contact Mel Zohe.

HARVEST PICNIC - OCTOBER 5TH at 6PM in the Chapel Parking Lot. Rain date is October 6th.   

  Women's Study: Beth Moore’s “Breaking Free - Updated Edition” The ladies will meet every other Wednesday starting September 19th from 7-8:30PM (during AWANA) in the Library in the Classic Building. The cost is $25 which covers the study guide and supplies for drinks. This money is due by Wednesday, September 12th. ▪ Christmas in September - Every December, the Boyertown Senior Center on Spring Street in Boyertown presents “A Cavalcade  of Trees”.  Different organizations buy trees that they decorate for the Cavalcade of Trees. The trees are then given away to needy families at Christmas. This is the third year that Mel will be ordering a tree which, in the past, has been purchased by 2 or 3 people. This year they are collecting money early, which costs $150 for a 7 foot tree with lights. There is a box marked “Cavalcade” on the small table in the Lobby where you can donate to this great ministry. If you have any questions, please see Mel Zohe.

Thank you to Lonnie and Laurie Hiltebeitel for hosting Peachfest for us last Sunday. Everyone had a great time and the baptisms in the pool were a real blessing. Thank you to everyone who brought desserts, too.
