Pastors

Chris Eshleman has served as senior pastor at Mountain View Chapel since September 1982.

Chris is a 1978 graduate of Boyertown High School. He earned a B.S. in Bible at Baptist Bible College of Clarks Summit, PA (1982) and an M.A. in Hebrew & Old Testament at Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield, PA (1991), where he also pursued post-graduate studies.

Chris began at Mountain View Chapel in September of 1982, was ordained and became the full-time pastor in 1987. His hobbies include playing bass guitar, umpiring baseball, and running.

His wife, Christine, is a 1984 graduate of Baptist Bible College with a degree in elementary education. Chrissy has devoted herself to homeschooling their six children, and enjoys playing the trombone, singing, and playing volleyball.

Most of the Eshleman children are now grown, and Chris and Chrissy are now enjoying their new roles as grandparents!

Andrew Calamaro has served as Assistant Pastor at Mountain View Chapel since January 2017.

Andrew is a 1989 graduate of Spring-Ford High School. He served in the Army from 1989-1992. He earned a B.S. in Bible Teaching at Columbia International University (Columbia, South Carolina) in 2002, where he also pursued graduate studies. He worked for Columbia International University in the computer department until graduating in 2002, when he went to South Korea. He taught Bible at International Christian School for five years, then served on the church staff of Mission Baptist Church for nine years. He returned to the States in July of 2016 and began attending Mountain View Chapel. He enjoys computer games, photography, and racquetball.

His wife, Kaylin, is a 1998 graduate of Columbia International University with a degree in Bible/Psychology. Kaylin homeschooled their three daughters and served in various capacities of ministry while they were at Mission Baptist Church and enjoys cooking, baking, photography and quilting.
Steve Karabatos (Mr. K) has served at Mountain View Chapel as Youth Pastor since September, 1999.

Steve Karabatos is a 1988 graduate of Boyertown High School. He earned a B.S. in Secondary English Education at Kutztown University in 1993 and was a substitute teacher for a short time before owning and operating Sterling Airport Service from 1995-2000. He also co-hosted a weekly NASCAR based television show on Pottstown Cable Television from 1995-1999.

Steve grew up as a member of the Greek Orthodox Church and started attending Mountain View Chapel in November, 1993. After becoming a member several years later, he was selected onto the board as a deacon by the congregation. He also led a Friday night Bible study and assisted the young adult ministry on Tuesday nights. His hobbies include flag football, fast-pitch softball, volleyball, and biking. He also hones his culinary skills by trying to perfect the art of the chicken wing and by throwing an occasional Big Fat Greek Party.

His wife, Becky (Mrs. K), is his satellite, following Steve everywhere he goes. She assists him with the Junior High youth group and can be found by his side more often than not.
