A Bible study called “7 Views of Jesus,” led by Pastor Andrew, will be held on Wednesday evenings, beginning November 1, from 7-8:30pm in the Classic Building. This study will cover perspectives of Jesus from other religions and how and why they are wrong. Please sign up at the lobby table if you would like to attend; the class is limited to 15 people. If you have any questions, please see Pastor Andrew.

The Women's Ministry is hosting a Coffee & Dessert Night on Friday, November 10th, at 7pm. It will be a time of thanksgiving and fellowship with friends. Please bring a dessert to share and sign up at the lobby table if you would like to attend.

KW is for 4-year-olds through 4th grade and is held in the gym. Children in this age group are dismissed following the offertory and remain in Kidz Worship until 10:40, when Sunday school teachers take them to their classes in the Educational Wing. Those in 5th-7th grades are to leave the morning service at 10:35 and go to the gym to wait for their teachers to take them to class. After the service, all classes return to the gym, where parents can pick up their children.

On the 5th Sunday of the month, we take a second offering for our Benevolence Fund. This fund is used to minister to others when needs arise throughout the year. This month, we will be collecting money for the victims of the hurricanes in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico, and sending it to Samaritan's Purse, a wonderful organization lead by Franklin Graham. Samaritan's Purse is already on the ground in each of these areas helping the victims.

George Ross, our Missions Committee coordinator, recently returned from a trip to Texas. If anyone is interested in going to Texas or Florida to help, one-week trips are available. The cost is approximately $400-600 including airfare, ground transportation, room and food. If you can't go but would like to contribute, monetary offerings can be made to a Houston church (vetted by George) to sponsor rebuilding of homes. We will have a Covenant Membership signing on Sunday, October 29th, during the morning service. If you would like to become a Covenant Member of Mountain View Chapel or have any questions about becoming a member, please contact the church office or see Pastor Chris.

Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year so we won't have a morning service that day. Instead, we'll have a Christmas Eve play at 7pm. There will be no youth Group and no child care that night.

Operation Christmas Child season is coming! Bless a needy child this Christmas by filling a shoebox with toys, hygiene items and school supplies. More information and boxes are available on the lobby table.

A new small group is meeting on the first and third Sunday of each month from 6pm to 8:15pm (coinciding with youth group) in the Classic Building, beginning October 1. You don't have to have teens in the youth group to attend, but if you drop off your teen for youth group and don't want to drive home for a short time, please join this small group to play games or just sit and talk. Light refreshments will be provided. Your children can come, too, as some kid-friendly games will be available, but parents will need to care for their own children. Every year we run a Ring Toss game stand at Community Day held at the Douglass Township Building. We hand out our MVC flyer, along with water and soda, to those who come to the stand. The township is always glad that we return each year as they say our ring toss game is very popular. This is a great way to tell people in the community about our church! We need individual volunteers, including families, to work in our game stand for an hour anywhere from 10:30-2:30pm on Saturday, October 7th. If you would like to help, please sign up at the lobby table. We also need someone with a pick-up truck to take the game stand from the church to the township building, set it up, take it down and return it to the church.
