Welcome to Mountain View Chapel

Mountain View Chapel is an independent evangelical Protestant church, founded in 1955, and located at 68 Old Douglass Drive, Douglassville, PA 19518.

Our congregation of around 400 meets on Sunday morning at 10:00am for worship, Children's Church, and children's Sunday school. On Sunday evening, our Junior & Senior High teens get together for spiritual strengthening at 6:00pm. Nursery is provided during the morning service.

Ken Branford Funeral Arrangements

The funeral arrangements at Mountain View Chapel for Ken Branford are as follows...on Monday, January 30th, there will be a viewing in the Sanctuary from 6-8PM. On Tuesday, January 31st, there will be a viewing in the morning from 9-10:45AM, followed by a Memorial Service in the Sanctuary at 11AM. In lieu of flowers for the Ken Branford memorial, Mountain View will be establishing a fund for the Branford children. If you wish to donate immediately, you can make the check out to Mountain View Chapel and send it to the MVC Office and we will deposit it once the fund is established (we hope the bank will have that ready for us by Monday). Details about how to contribute directly will be made available once the bank has the fund established. Update on the Fund for the Branford Children…the bank suggested that due to complications of recent government banking regulations, the best and easiest way to handle this situation is for the church to collect the funds in Becki's behalf, and then turn the funds over to Becki to allow her to establish savings accounts for the children or to use the funds immediately as she sees fit. Checks should be made to Mountain View Chapel and put "Branford Memorial Fund" in the memo. Our address is 68 Old Douglass Drive, Douglassville, PA 19518.

▪ We are in need of someone to teach Sunday School in the Middler Department which is 3rd and 4th grade. Teachers are responsible to teach for a month at a time every three months. Sunday School runs from 10:40 to the end of the Morning Service. If you are interested in teaching, please contact Jack Yorgey or send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ▪ All of the Christmas Cards that have not been picked up yet, are on the table in the Lobby. Please pick up your cards today. ▪ If you are interested in working in the Nursery on Sunday mornings taking care of newborns and children on up to two years old, please sign up at the table in the Lobby or contact Jen Rhoads. Children must be 12 years old to help in the Nursery. ▪ MVC's Awana Program meets on Wednesday evenings at 7pm! If you would like your children to be involved in this exciting program, bring them to the Gym on Wednesday evenings! The different departments are Puggles (2 & 3 year olds), Cubbies (4 year olds through Pre-Kindergarten), Sparks (Kindergarten through 2nd Grade), and T & T (3rd Grade through 6th Grade). Bring your children to the Gym at 7pm where they will then be directed to their departments. ▪ Mountain View Men’s Ministry is continuing their study of the Men’s Fraternity curriculum and is held in the Library at 7AM.
