Please join us on this fun-filled day as we enjoy games, food, fellowship, and a chance to witness several baptisms in the creek.
The menu is already set so everyone is asked to sign up to bring an item in the quantity specified along with serving utensils AND a one gallon beverage to share. MVC will provide the hot dogs, condiments, and paper products as well as chips and pretzels.
The picnic will begin at 12:30PM when everyone will gather into a circle for prayer.
For those of you who have never joined us for this event, keep in mind that there is a pavilion with picnic tables, but you will want to bring lawn chairs or a blanket because there is not enough seating area for everyone. There will be a short time of games for children Sunday school age to 6th grade, and volleyball and horseshoes for the adults. There is a creek that children often enjoy exploring so you may want to bring a bathing suit, towel, pool shoes or old sneakers, and sunscreen. In addition, everyone is welcome to bring board games, cards, Frisbees, or other family favorites.
It is an awesome experience to watch others profess their faith as they are baptized. This will take place sometime around 3:00PM at the creek.
