Sunday Bulletin for November 30, 2008

▪ Please remember to put your Deacon Ballots into the offering plate next Sunday! ▪ MOPS will be having a Christmas Craft Morning for the MOPPETS this Wednesday at 10am in the gym. ▪ There will be a box on the table in the lobby labeled MVC Mailbox for those people who are interested in sending Christmas card to others at the Chapel.  Simply drop your cards into the mailbox and then pick them up the following Sunday in the crates on the "Christmas Table" in the corner of the lobby.  (Please do not put your cards INTO the crates as this creates a log jam with those people who are picking up their cards.) ▪ Come visit the Mountain View Chapel Library in the Classic Building and explore what we have on the shelves! Books, audio books, DVDs, and videos can all be signed out for a month at a time.  Come and “check us out!” ▪ MOPS is still in need of caregivers to watch children while the moms are meeting together. It would only be for 2 1/2 hours once a month. We meet the 3rd Wednesday of every month from Sept. until May, from 8:45AM until 11:15AM. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Lydia Jordan. ▪ Winter Care - MVC provides care for those who need extra help in the winter due to bad weather.  We have a sheet in the lobby where you can sign up to shovel snow or to check on others to see if they have heat, electricity, need to get to an appointment, or need food during a storm. We would also like to have a backup person in case someone scheduled can’t make it.  Any questions, please contact the church office. ▪ We are still looking for volunteers to meet at the Salvation Army in Pottstown to prepare a meal, serve, and clean up on the fifth Wednesday of the month (3-4 times a year.)  If you are interested, or if you have any questions, please contact Debbie Levesque.▪ MVC Church Directory – The updated Church Directories are on the table in the lobby. ▪ MVC Nursery Ministry - If you are interested in joining the Nursery Ministry Team, please contact Jen Rhoads. ▪ The Mountain View Men's Ministry has begun a series called "Men's Fraternity" for all men 18 and over. They meet on alternate Saturday mornings from 6:45-9:00AM in the Classic Building. They will be holding their next meeting next Saturday, December 13th, at 6:45am in the Library.  Coffee and breakfast items will be available.  Please contact Rob Kurtz or Ken Branford for more information. ▪ The Second Annual Boyertown Relay for Life will be held in June 2009. Sign up now to join us as we participate in the Relay for Life to fight cancer.  As a cancer survivor or someone who just wants to help us get rid of cancer, this is a great way to help raise awareness and funds for a cure. This is also a wonderful way to Relay God’s Love. The MVC Team will have team meetings to raise funds and discuss the up-coming 24 hour relay team.  There is a $10 registration fee for each member and then each member raises funds for the American Cancer Society.  Any questions, please call Debbie Yates. If interested, please sign up at the table in the lobby. ▪ Don’t forget to check the LOST AND FOUND shelves that are along the wall between the bathrooms. There are lots of cooking utensils and dishes to be claimed! ▪ MVC Volleyball – Any one from age 16 to adult is welcome to attend this semi-competitive game on Friday nights. We meet at 7PM in the gym.  ▪ In our desire to keep the Sunday morning service running smoothly, any Announcements that you would like to make or have made by Gary Dye, must be submitted to the church office by Friday noon. ▪ Offertory Ministry - If you like to sing or if you play a musical instrument, we would love to have you be a part of our Offertory Ministry on Sunday mornings.  All ages and level of musical ability can serve in this capacity.  If you are interested, please contact Neal Hartranft or Janine Leavitt. ▪ Would you be interested in purchasing a tape or CD of today’s sermon?  You may order one at the table in the lobby each Sunday.  Tapes and CDs are $1 each and you may put your money in the “tab envelope” with your name on it in the black box if you have ordered before.
